Refurbishment of an historic pub in Winchester, England.

The William Walker is a historic pub located in the beautiful city of Winchester, famous for it’s Cathedral. William Walker was an experienced diver who in 1911, saved the cathedral from imminent collapse, diving 6 metres down to shore up the foundations with concrete.

The project involved the complete refurbishment of two floors, with reconfiguration of the ground floor to move the bar and gain additional covers.

My role as Senior Designer, took the concept from development stages through to producing a full construction drawing package, followed by on-site guidance to see the project to completion.

I was also responsible for the procurement of all furniture, lighting and fixtures; all while managing the budget with the client.
